WEEK 7 HAPPENINGS

We continued to learn about Fractions this week
We learned how to shade fractions of a set
We helped each other if we got stuck, so it was really good working with friends.

We continued to use equipment to help us see the differences in the size of fractions.

Weeks 6 EVENTS

This week our NINJAs started learning about fractions. With a buddy we learned about the size of fractions as some of us were confused about their size.
We learned this by building a fraction wall.
Main learning - What is a fraction?
                        - What is a numerator and denominator? What do these mean?
                        - How big is a fraction (size of a fraction)

Student Leadership

To help the development of our student leaders, this week they started taking organised lunchtime sports.
After a lot of discussions they planned a timetable of activities catering for all syndicates throughout the week.
In their organisation they also shared rules and organised teams who will be in charge of refereeing the game. There are also allocated time keepers to assist referees.
